Bonavia („road of happiness“) depicts several heroes whose destinies intertwine during the post-Yugoslav chaos and transition. Cutting the fragments out of their life, love or existential stories, the author creates the world of people in an endless quest, in internal exile, in flight from a city to city, running away from disastrous times in which they were trapped. In this communicative and skillfully written novel, everyday trivialities are easily turned into symbols, telling us about the hypocrisy of wars, desintegration of essential human values, destinies of individuals who are in flight, even though they remain on the same place. This author's intimate story is recognized by every reader like its own, who will find in it unique objects, toponyms and cultural facts, which suddenly lose everything that had integrated them into the whole, leaving them dangling above the abyss.

Best recommended to all European readers by its authentic atmosphere and protagonists, similar to the novels of Milosh Kundera, with their noble sadness of the internal outcasts, living in the world where the elementary determinants of identity (living places, borders, language) are transformed, dissolved and perished frightfully easy. Meticulously narrated, easily accessible and superbly stylish illustration of the internal drama that goes on in the heroes of the novel.
