An exciting adventure novel, centring on the five-day journey through Serbia in the early spring of 1841. The journey is lead by the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, accompanied by a motley crew from the host country (a self-taught translator, a carter and a young beadle from the Lyceum in Kragujevac). The famous foreign traveller from the wide world wants to unearth the rumours of the existence of the demonic mythical creature "Psoglavi" (literally Doghead), in the backwater principality somewhere between the Orient and the West. At the same time, this novel is a witty tale about how we are perceived by foreigners and how in turn we view them, then and now.
